Tom James - Co-Pastor
Tom James has been serving as Co-Pastor at First Presbyterian Church since November of 2005.  Previously, he served as interim pastor of Corinth Presbyterian Church in Dayton, Ohio. Tom is a graduate of Louisville Seminary (MDiv) and Union Seminary in Virginia (PhD), and prior to ordained ministry he served as an adjunct instructor of religion and ethics and a stay-at-home dad.  Tom enjoys spending time with Michelle and their children, as well as reading, writing, playing tennis, watching basketball, and following the monastic tradition of basement brewing.
 
Michelle James - Co-Pastor
Michelle James has been serving as Co-Pastor at First Presbyterian Church since November of 2005.  Previously, she served as associate pastor for youth at Mt Washington Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati.  Michelle has also served churches in Greenville, NC and Chester, VA as associate pastor for Christian education, youth, mission, and small group ministry.  Michelle is a graduate of Louisville Seminary (MDiv), and is currently involved in coursework (DMin) at Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta.  Prior to ordained ministry she taught preschool and elementary school.  Michelle is a licensed Kindermusik educator and enjoys spending time with Tom and their children, as well as teaching, gardening, taking in a movie, surfing the ‘net, and reading when time allows.
 
Beverly Cody - Secretary
Beverly Cody has been serving First Presbyterian as Church Secretary since November 2006 and is enjoying learning about the inner workings of a church.  Beverly grew up in the neighboring village of Wyoming, where she still resides with her husband and two teenage daughters.  In her spare time, Beverly likes to walk her dog, Daisy, and to read historical fiction.
 
Amy Duke - Organist
Amy Duke has served First Presbyterian Church, Glendale as organist since the summer of 2000.  She previously served here as a substitute organist since 1996.  Amy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organ Performance from Judson College in Marion, Alabama, and came to Cincinnati with her husband, John, after serving the First Baptist Church, Talladega.  In addition to a love of music she enjoys creative food preparation and extensive gardening.
 
Jeremy D. Jones - Choir Director
Jeremy D. Jones is pursuing a DMA degree at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Prior to his studies at CCM, Jones received a MM degree in choral conducting at East Carolina University, Greenville, NC. Jones also served as Director of Music Ministries at First Presbyterian Church in Rocky Mount, NC, where he founded the Stained Glass Concert Series. He taught at Riverdale High School as Director of Choral Activities from 2002-05 and at Siegel Middle School from 2001-02, both in Murfreesboro, TN. From 1999-03, he served in various capacities for the Music Ministries of First Presbyterian Church in Murfreesboro. He received his BM degree in vocal music education from Middle Tennessee State University and was named Most Outstanding Choral Music Education Student in May 2001.
 
Sr Joan Michael - nursery attendant
Sr. Joan has been working in our nursery, caring for young Presbyterians since 1996.  She is an Episcopalian Sister, and a member of the Community of the Transfiguration.  Sr. Joan comes to us with an excellent education and a stellar work history in administration, teaching, and caring for young people.  Besides holding a permanent Ohio teaching certificate, she holds a certificate in Montessori Education, an M.Ed from Xavier, and has taken a post-graduate course for toddlers.  She has served in administration and on faculty at schools in Japan, Texas, and at Glendale’s own Bethany School.
 
Rebecca Wilson - nursery attendant
Rebecca has been with First Presbyterian Church, serving in our nursery since the fall of 2006.  She is completing her degree in Special Education at Xavier, and comes to us with a good deal of education and experience with children. She will be transferring to the College of Mount St. Joe in the fall. Rebecca is currently teaching little ones at Youthland Academy in Sharonville, and is certified in CPR for infants, children and adults; First Aid, Child Abuse & Communicable Disease prevention.  Rebecca is no stranger to Glendale, having grown up here and attended Princeton schools.  She enjoys the beach and playing volleyball in her free time.
