We are seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant reporting to the minister and assisting our Elders and various committees in a one-person office.  Familiarity with working in a church office environment is a plus.  This is a 20-hour-a-week position.  There are 20 hours of paid vacation per year.

Required Skills:

  • Have proficiency in Microsoft Office, WordPress & Adobe, a comfortable knowledge of navigating social media accounts like Facebook, and Instagram, and a willingness to learn other apps as needed.
  • Be a self-starter, reliable with good organizational and time management skills
  • Operate basic office equipment.
  • Be at ease and friendly in greeting people and visitors in person or on the phone.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.


  • Receptionist duties:  answering the phone, screening calls, relaying messages, greeting visitors, and informing the appropriate person of each message.
  • Prepare the weekly and special service bulletins, working with the minister, and coordinating with musicians and others.
  • Log employee hours bi-weekly in the payroll database, and make any employee changes with HR as needed.  Assist HR in collecting required information from new hires. 
  • Maintain the church calendar of events and meetings.
  • Work with the minister and committee chairs, organize, edit, and publish the monthly newsletter, Session reports, the annual report, and any other documents and information as needed.
  • Maintain and order supplies needed by the church office and other church supplies as requested.
