Presbyterians are Christians who first came to America from Scotland in 1640. The first General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) was held in 1789. Today,

the PC (U.S.A.) is a theologically diverse denomination of around 1.35 million members. Central to the faith of Presbyterians is trust in the sovereign and saving love of the Triune God as that love encounters human beings in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
